I bumped into you today
You stirred up my emotions
The dark thoughts I’d left behind
Threw my mind into commotion
The pain found it’s way again
Back into my ailing heart
It’s taken me so long to heal
Now slowly I’m falling apart
Silence is golden they say
But not when it comes to you
You took me to hell and back
There was nothing I could do
I’m in a panic stricken state
My eyes are filled with tears
You haunt me with the memories
I tried to forget all these years
I’ll find myself some courage
One day when time is kind
I’ll look you straight in the face
And it’s fear in your eyes I’ll find

| Being reminded of past events and hurts , can also give us the courage to go forward positively,This is how you have approached the subject. Very interesting poem as it relates a lot to my own experience. It is well written and flowed really well. Than you for letting us share it. Sue x |

I love this! When I became fearless, folks have often feared me for I called their bluff of artificiality. Time is kind right now, Suzie Q; I sensed you fearless 'n' free o' guilt from the first words I read o' yers. Fantastic 'n' a master's write.

You always write a poem that can share to all that is in deep pain. SuzieQ;s rainbow bridge ... remember... keep walking across.. you can make it .. read your poem again... and keep reading it...my sissy, remember, face those fears... tackle them... do not let them drag you down, you are strong... sometimes you just have to laugh at life... never give your power away.... fear someone or love someone.. choose...

Sometimes lifes lessons can be so cruel, can't they? This exemplifies that heartwrenching feeling it leaves us with so very well. As you know all too well Sue; only time can heal, and sometimes not even then...Great expression here; although sadness prevails, you wrote this wonderfully.

a poem that reflects all the feelings is runs through; pain, loss, fear, strength. I don't know why we never really recover. heartbreak and loss are as big a mystery as love. Touched the heart, it did.

Your author's note says SO much of what I've come to expect from you Sue - especially the latter half.. not to mention the tortuous and painful beauty you wrought throughout.. my heart is but a cinder: that you have to endure these trials and rememberances.. and though you might confide in my ineffectual renderings.. there's nothing so strong as a women's intuition - and so I offer up what little comfort I can, in this.

Oh Dear Susie Q, I could have written a poem just like this one, for it's a possession they hold over you! Stand straight and face their demons dear...........then you can be sure, it's fear you see in their eyes.............for sure!
