Recreational angst

Contributed by deadclown on Wednesday, 21st June 2006 @ 04:58:47 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Walk towards the darkening glow
of a priceless ship full of blackened snow
Take out the chisel from your blood red bag
and sculpt a face in your personal flag

Throw out your thoughts for the hungry birds
and let them chew on your empty words
Pick up the pieces that they leave behind
Then put them back in your screwed up mind

I've had enough of your self made pain
There's nothing to cry for
There's no one to blame
Dismantle your pity and give it away
'Cause I'm getting bored with these games that you play

Question for you, does the dark glow? Maybe it does, but I'm aware it's a symbol. Anyway, the talent is there I can see that. With more practice your skills will certainly flourish, but be patient and never get frustrated.

In response to lady daisy's question, I was referring to the glow of life being darkened by our own self pity. Although I appreciate the comments you wrote and for this I thank you, frustration has never been an issue with me when it comes to my writing. Question for you lady daisy. Is frustration something you've had to persevere with?

Oh yes! Poetry isn't my strong point. But I do know a few things. I Write it out of frustration, and it relaxs me. If not scars me.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
