Under Grass

Contributed by Man_On_High on Wednesday, 21st June 2006 @ 12:23:23 AM in AEST
Topic: didactic

..dying is a curious thing-
not that I have ever quite died,
except briefly now and then
in a hot-headed poetic way.

there's nothing ingenious about it.
a quick plunge under black water,
and after the first year of mourning,
the grasses nod, undisturbed on your grave.

we all could die today, with little effort;
with a well sprung wish; we could die today,
quietly laughing or crying.. with little else to say..

without fanfare-
without ceremony-
without drawing conclusions-

And I, in Malden, Mass. just by the Eastern Ave,
eternally within the confines of Holy Cross~
held forever under the fine wet grass.

Billy

Billy~
An interesting and thought provoking write you have penned for us dearest Billy~
Death holds fear for some and not so much for others. Well if was up to a certain friend of mine I know she'd want to go with a kaula & coke in one hand, a hair straightener in the other and a smoke in her mouth, lol. We all gotta die sooner or later with glory without glory.
without fanfare-
without ceremony-
without drawing conclusions-
Most impressive Billy~ as u know I am a mad fan of ur extraordinary work. Well done Poetic King.
love, hugs n prayers from ur fan/friend,

.. ahem!! Well, Mr. Keefe, I should NOT like to
go THAT easily, I'm afraid. lol

A beautiful piece of cognitive musings you have brought
together here. This is a most intriguing point you've made.
[And in such a creative and talented way!!]

damn man...way to depress the chit out of me......

either way...this was a dark write with bright words...what i mean to say is... you use images of every day “good” or “normal” things and remind us all, as if we didn’t know, that within a moments blink, or a shift in thought, they can all be viewed as bad… …dark...death...which is freakin scary...but well worth contemplating

nice write,

like every other write

loved it

hang in there with me.. death normal, as much as birth.. I saw the beauty of it.. because I know where I am heading.. very powerfully written.. rejoice... never waste your faith on disbelieving that we are here without purpose..

Hugs,

RaquelLeah
