I was born from the blood of blacksmiths, and sharecroppers, and farmers who slaved under
Communism, just to go home and wipe away tears and struggle to feed their families.
I am Romanian. I am American. I am a woman.
I am a citizen of the earth.
I am a writer, a connoisseur of irony, the mistress of words.
I am not a crayon, Crayola has not been informed of my name, or the exact shade of my
Epidermis.
I am a daughter. I am a friend, a tree-hugger, a teenager, a hug-giver, a tear-wiper, a laugh-lover, a sketch-collector, a book-alphabetizer.
I have worked to long
at tree-hugging, tear-wiping, laugh-loving, sketch-collecting, and book-alphabetizing

Be
Labeled
After
A nonexistent entity.

| nice pride. very direct and yes it does speak for itself. psychologically speaking, humans label things and categorize them for efficiency, remembering, and storing purposes. its human nature to label, and no one can work hard enough to stop it. you had a good beginning and ending. you had creativity flair throughout this. your directness was the best in this. the lists did seem listless, as does trying to prove to the world what you are and arent. for an ending, i think a better note is ending with a phrase of who you are, perhaps the label you would want to have since labels will never go away. |
