Centered Balance

Circular rotation begins
Inward, spiraling down
Soft curves and smooth caresses
Wafted by a gentle breeze
Refreshing font, a liquid relief
Whirling flow to surround
Gathering momentum as downward it spins
Internally seeking deeper within
Familiar sights and sounds
Yet unfamiliar phenomenon abound
Like a maze I am bewildered and lost within
Nothing to spare, all encapsulated therein
At warp seed, the energy is all consuming
Rotating we travel through space and time
Until the moment when face meets mind
A startling revelation there you will find
The focus begins to balance out
When everything interconnects throughout
And the great insight occurs
For there is no other place like it on earth
Not to fear the journeys end
Finely, centered balance within
The spirit core, our final revalation;
The proverbial answer to who I am

Back to center ... back to the core ? It seems to fit Terry. I would like very much, to know more of how you were attempting to display it. How it spoke to you initially. I see a broken up rhyme structure that flows towards a more free verse like style ... and again more signs of new horizons and expanding methods of expression. I am given the image of an iceskater spining in circles faster and faster ... until they stop ... and revel in the moment of a flawless routine. And there amidst the ice, the music, hopefully the cheers ... they find ... themselves.
That is what you gave me.

I don't quite know what to make of this one, Will.
I like how this flows and stuff. It's a little difficult, but in a way that adds to the poem.
A very thought provoking write.

Wow Wil, this was an very intriguing write. Certainly makes one think for sure.
We all search for that centered balance, I guess and I think you captured the journey
to find it well here. Balance is indeed at the centre ... all else just adds weight. But our
core is what keeps our balance.
Great post, Wil. Exceptional word usage!

I'm liking (rather alot!) the way you drew this intriguing picture of life and death, and the afterlife to look forward to...Your creative words shed light, yet remain veiled in a wonderfully reflective way, which allows the reader to not only draw their own conclusions on the subject, but to envision it, and get lost in the visual in a very agreeable way...Perhaps the end result wasn't what you had originally planned for this piece, but I think it turned out just great!
Scorp.
(Thanking you for this inspiring piece) |
