“Let the sun illuminate the words that you cannot find.”
--Natasha Bedingfield
Moonglow piercing souls and clouds
Stars adorning back-lit skies
Gathered nimbus crouch like shrouds
Lightning flashes, moonlight dies
Rain encasing vibrant earth
Thunder’s strength in undertones
Fuels the night’s energized worth
Barely audible, it drones
Unprotected, here stand I
Folded insecurities
Cross my arms and hold me tight
As the storm fades off with ease
Rainbow captured by first light
Photograph foreshadowing
As an afternoon takes flight
Thoughts, confused, are tingling
In translucent, sparkling gold
Something blossoms somewhere lost
Tangibly I grasp no hold
Captivated, arms uncrossed
Moving forward, nearly blind
Through the labyrinth of my mind
