I slip beneath the covers of my lies.
Truth stolen from my lips And, tonight all hope of happiness dies.
I walked away from your kiss And, you walked away from me.
Suffocated by memories as I try to sleep.
To numb to feel much of anything, I close my eyes and cry, tear drop lullabies.
Searching for the perfect words to say.
To get me through another hopeless day.

I can't really say that I understood the meaning of this write, but I still connected with it in my own personal way. It is beautifully written and I hope you will cope with your issues and move on to bigger and better things! Also, my reason for not being able to understand is that poetry is your own emotions on paper that you share- that doesn't mean everyone has those emotions to understand.
