Just when things were getting so great you love her instead,
I never should have asked something I didn't want to know,
Your girlfriend is your love and it's time for me to let go,
But I will never forget that terrific night,
Because for a second I thought I would forever hold you tight,
I fell asleep my arms around yours and yours around me,
And when I woke up you were what I could see,
But the liquor was gone and it all clicked in,
I knew right then and there it wouldn't happen again,

that sux that u arn't together. i've never been in that situation before, so i can't say much to help with that.
anyways.. this had a very nice flow. and i enjoyed reading it. great job.

Aha! The perils of adultary :)
I have been in that kind of situation more than once... I keep making the same mistake apparently :)
