Waking Up

|
Eyes gently closed in your cage
of slumber. Unaware
of the chaos of the morning.
Cheek against the warm
silky covers, ruffled blonde locks,
toes curled.
Lights barrier lifted,
illumination floods the room.
Eyes still closed, you reach
for fleecy, familiar security,
bum raised slightly in the air.
Gentle words open your eyes,
you recognize your protector and provider.
You sigh and smile,
capturing another piece of my heart.

| This poem puts a very lucid and easy mental picture in my mind of what this poem is stating. It is very well expressed and seems as though you were writing as the scene went on. Good Job, amazing. |

As the father of a three month old, I can so well relate to this moment of unparalelled beauty. I believe moments like this are the purest form of pleasure on earth! The way you portrayed this made me think of my little one as I often watch him awaken. Nice job!
