I long for thy touch, and warm embrace.
To capture a glimpse of your smiling face.
I yearn to hold thee close to me.
Entwined in love forever be.
Each day I languish for thee at my side.
Our woven souls for ever abide.
Tender moments we share, for this I pine.
My heart unshackled when thou art mine.
The tears of my soul are shed for thee.
Ensconced in thy love my innermost plea.
Like the moon needs the sun to give it light.
My path is dark please make it bright.
A flickering candle in the wind am I.
I need thy loves flame so I won’t die.
Please come my fair lady , oh come with haste.
Together to dine, sweet love we’ll taste.

Love your poetry, it reminds me of a Shakesperian tale. Truly lovely. Sue x |
