You’re holding my pen
Writing with my pen
The mediator of my secretive feelings and the paper
Caressing it between
Your first and middle finger
If you were to know
The words it has carved into paper
Words forming the sweet multi lingo poetry
If you were to know
The hunger and desire it
Has engraved upon walls, books and desks
It has spoken of sadness, of passion
Of pain hatred and confusion
Words that would never fill the void
Between my lips that remain sealed shut
Words that I cannot place into verbal dialogue
That I’d like you to hear
You’re flicking the end of my pen
With your tongue
In places where my irritated fingers
Have once shuddered
Have once gripped its slender physique in harmony
If you could smooth the grooves of my pen
You would have upon your finger
Traces of all the emotions
I’ve once felt for you
And if only you knew
I’d never have to put my feelings into the spoken word.
