Choices

Contributed by bluestars on Monday, 19th June 2006 @ 01:50:29 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

One day, she chose to run away
run away, run away bride.
She chose not to stay,
just to leave it all behind.

Leave him and don't look back is what I say
for you have made your choice,
a choice you can't erase.
So go, go away and everything will turn out okay.

One morning she awoke to
a different world,
a different place.
Were she learn to let go of his pretty face,
were she escaped from all his lies and pain.

A week or two passed her by,
for time flys like the wind.
She chose to go back and try,
try to move ahead and not rewind.

She moved ahead and knew it was clear
her destiny and happiness were oh, so near.
The choices she made changed her life,
for best or worst I can't decided,
but I guess you can tell by the shine in her eyes.

We, as individuals, have choices to make every day. Choices to change our perspective based on our own experiences of joy or heartbreak. We are constantly reinventing ourselves to the best we can be by rewiring our psyche. And we find out we don't have to "run away"; just stand fast where we are! Excellent insights in this poem.
Keep rewiring, bluestars, and let the shine tell it all!

A rather refreshing write. A comfortable rhythm to it, as well.

Keep it up.

Love and peace,

Chelsea

What a delicate write, ambiguious and yet straight foward from the heart and laying on the line. Nice feel to it captivating 2 read.
