A Sign That I May Need Mental Help

Contributed by a7x36 on Monday, 19th June 2006 @ 01:11:28 AM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

I'm crazy,
but I know I'm crazy,
so doesn't that make me not crazy?

No, my friend,
you're still crazy.

But I shouldn't be,
cause I have enought thought
to realize that I might be crazy.

You're wrong again buddy!
You most definately are crazy.
If you were sane,
you wouldn't convince yourself that you're not.
You're crazy because you think
about whether you're crazy or not.

That doesn't make sense.

Yes it does.

I'm not insane!

Then why are you talking to yourself?

I'm not, this is all thoughts,
I'm not talking to anyone.

Then why are you "thinking" in dialogue?

Everyone does this.
It's just a personal struggle.
It's cause it's late and I'm stressed out.

Normal people don't do this,
only you, kid.

You lie...
Look at me, I'm a wreck!
I should go to bed,
clear my thoughts.

That doesn't change anything,
you'll still be insane tomorrow.

Stop saying that!

See, I told you.
Only crazy people yell at themselves.

Maybe I am insane...

No you're not.

Don't mess with me like that!
You lying fiend!
Get out of my head!
I think I just need a padded wall
to hit my head against.

No you don't.

I liked your poem, it made me smile. I argue with myself all the time. But I call the voices in my head, my muse, and they produce the words that become these poems. I think I 'd rather be crazy anyway, then I'd at least have an excuse.
