Lost prophet

Contributed by secretwind on Saturday, 17th June 2006 @ 04:57:09 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Something is always wrong
everything is negative
with such a aimless exsistence
sometimes I wonder
why do I live

I trip I stumble
I am constantly
falling
down
Teardrops silently fall
when no one's around

Every day is the same
the pain never goes away
I'm infected
and there is no cure,
still I search for something to believe in
because
all I can do is cry
and I am running out of time.
All alone
and emotionally
confused about this life....
I feel so twisted
I really can't wait to die.

very expressive poem. but it's sad that you say you can't wait to die. life only happens once so you should live life to the fullest, because you never know when you won't live to see another day. so enjoy life don't sit and wait for it to end.~wolf~

What a strongly worded piece you posted here....geesh. This is emotive and sad, but written in a raw and relatable way. Hope this was just a temporary feeling that has already passed...

Interesting and great composition. It saddens me that some of your poems lead to the same conclusion. I'm sure we have all been at a point in life where we don't know where we're going or why we're here, and we go in this spiral, (As I've had) but you have to reassure yourself that things do get better. If we don't go through the obstacles that are thrown at us, we never become the person we were meant to be, a strong and happy individual. Take care, Kimberly

Greetings

I feel the need to mention this is my 3rd post first visit to the site. With so many entries and not really into willy-nilly blurbs in order to post, I found this piece flowing from the most recent entires. I must admit there are themes in your work, and elements that strike cords to my own. I can say honestly that I feel poetry is the vestige of an "Old Voice" that often spake as Idols and led tribes thorugh crisis to survival like the depiction of "Wilson" in "Cast Away" . Hence my point as it pertains to this piece. The effort of expression is imortalizing that which has "..died twice before dying..." as the strewn thoughts you share may weave a 'sad' veil for some I hear the hard edge of your rich tapestry taking shape in your effort to make sense of thinking and feeling and that is living. You make alive the voice of your feelings and emotions, molting a skin that we all have to shed and perhaps a bitter pill we all have to swallow as there are moments without doubt like this in everyones life.

Peace and Courage to Stay the Course with Pen in Tow and Wings Flapping.
