The fallen are calling,
we must send up a warning,
stay at home little children
keep safe from harm.
The skies are now burning,
and we must hurry,
did someone send out an alarm.
Fading resistance, embarrasing hesitance,
can I be sheltered from the storm?
I go without going,
too late for the turning,
shrouded in shadow I am.

This poem has hidden depths, it has a message, as cryptic as it sounds. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Sue x |
