Needing Thee

Oh my love with fragrance sweet.
For thee I languish until we meet.
With saddened soul and poignant heart.
Piercing deep like pointed dart.
As darkened clouds began to form.
I pray for rainbows and not a storm.
Wishing thou were here with me.
Then the pain within would flee.
In my arms to safely fly.
To feel thy kiss and hear thee sigh.
A time for us loves prison sweet.
Entangled there in passions heat.
No barrier, or time nor space,
To veil my dear thy lovely face.
Our love will flow like brook or stream.
Holding tight to painted dream.
Our heart desires to manifest.
Within my arms for thee to rest.
No storm or gale to cloud our sky.
On wings of love we both will fly.

Breathtaking-reminds me of my favourite poet Tennyson. Truly you are in a league of your own. A classic in it's own right. |

Gorgeous.
I have read quite a few of your poems lately, but I never get the chance to comment like I wish I could.
I think you one of the better writers here. Your words are untainted, and not needlessly modernised.
This older style, is much better than a lot of the newer styles these days.
Beautiful write,
