My world is now ending
my soul is now mending
from all my pretending
and overextending
You see, I was hurt
while not being alert
by actions covert
so now I revert
Back into my shell
with no one to tell
of my personal hell
which never ends well
There is no reason why
you hung me to dry
and constantly lie
So this is my reply
Stay away from me
Theres nothing to see
Please follow my plea
and just let me be.

I love how simple the structure was but how powerful it was all put together. Beautiful write. I felt your frustration and pain in this one.

Wow - very much my feelings when I ended the last relationship I was in. Still couldn't help loving her though, but there was just too much rubbish between us.
Very good rhyming pattern - often very hard to have four consecutive rhyming lines.
Good job!
