Life...My Spin on It

Life,
There is no one clear path,
Its just a haze.
We need to navigate this thing we call "Life",
Though we have no landmarks or signs to go by.
We just go through it blind and learn by living.
But some can't learn through living,
So they kill themselves,
Or turn to drugs.
In my tenure on this planet,
Not long of a tenure it may be,
I have learned that Life sucks at times,
But Death is not an alternative.
I have taken my kicks to the head by Reality,
I have been knocked down many times.
I just pick myself up,
Dust off my clothes and begin,
Begin to pick up the pieces of my life
And put them back together.
Some use drugs to cope with the harshness of life,
Like most people,
I have tried drugs and realized that they are not for me.
Low I may be a repenting alcholic,
I will beat this addiction.
To make it through this thing we call "Life",
One must keep going,
No matter what happens,
Good or Bad.
Life continues on.
This is just the view of one man,
Take it or leave it,
But heed these words.
Things will work out in the end,
The only hard part,
Is to keep going until you reach the end.
And then,
You will find true happiness.
Low I still wait to find that happiness,
I keep going,
Waiting and praying to find it.
Sooner or Later,
I will.......

| Brilliant poem, hope you find happiness I think we have to have our share of bad or we would not appreciate the good.. I have just put my quiting smoking poem on I used ciggys to cope but your right any drugs in any form does not make it better...xxxx |
