Strange Pursuit

Drifting on a flow
remembering
all the pain and pleasure
yearning and wanting...
oh
I tremble
and start to sway
as visions ebb and flow my way,
I live in the shadows
of my wreckage
in silence with nothing to say.
Hiding behind aggression
with me no ones messing
no one must know
about the hole in my soul
or how emotions spin me round
and round and round.
I am human I feel
my wound heal but forever bleed
it'a getting harder to conceal
and I don't know what's real.....
It's a strange pursuit
when you are on your own
wanting and yearnin
but never letting go,
always making movies
puttin' on a show
the true me is never revealed
no one must know.
The hole in my soul
feeds off
lifes pleasure and pain
I exsist in a smoking bliss
trying to escape,
still I
search for something.....

A poem filled with true emotions Secretwind. Be so glad you can feel at all. Most people I know have let their feelings lapse.
You're last line is a search that we all feel until the day we die. Searching, reaching, more teaching, but never realizing...........that is the lesson of life.

I'm married and yet this poem made me remember when i was single and use 2 feel like u describe in this masterpeice of emotions. you are an awesome poet , the honesty in this poem is second only to it's sincerity, one of the best and moving poems i ever read on here. Thank u 4 the experience.
