Jesus Reaps

Hold this knife to my trembling wrist.
Bleed my sorrows into the abyss.
Lift my head and ease my pain.
As my blood is washed away in the rain.
You whispered we are in the storms eye now,
And we must take a final bow.
My eyes grew weary as the rain renewed
Laughing at thoughts of gore imbued.
In a flash of light my world will end
Showing me Jesus cut his wrist for our sin.
He spoke, I died once but man didn't stop,
Sin became their most harvested crop.
It is a seed they sew that I am forced to reap
So body and soul the devil can keep.

I like this poem, so full of imagery, lovely rhyme scheme and good rhythm to it, it flows well!

PS- Sometimes poetry needs to offend, in order for it's point to be made! |

This was sad. I'm almost left speechless, but you're not that lucky.
The flow was perfect and the wording is heartwrenching. You did very well on this and it is very strongly felt.
Offend on.
