words are all that I have.

Topic: abstract

For the dreams I dream, and the loves that I have loved; words are all that I have.

Journal Entry (2002)
Time passes. Second by second, life grows stale, more vibrant.
An auburn vibrancy slips into my reflection, burns pale asphyxiated light, endures indignity of dust and filth, and becomes a star.

Cold to the world, she found that she had already become a woman.
(I pause; consider the meaning of my own words; of my own inability to empathize with the world.)
End Entry.

I found my photos of her in an old, leather bound, Italian journal. I have not looked upon her for two years, and I see more in her now than I had ever seen in all my nights with her.

A Requiem:
For my dreams, be they lost or forever kept, will sadly be only dreams to me.

Journal Entry (1/01/05)

It is a good day to start anew in an old journal, albeit I have nothing to write.

I have a cup of coffee, five bucks, and a pack of cigarettes.

My mind is a jumble of restless thought and exhaustion-I’m blinking myself to death.

Sleep never comes easy anymore; insomnia reigns in my life.

Outwardly, I am as calm as can be; on the inside, I’m a bloody mess reeking of cigarettes and enamel.
End Entry.

Journal Entry (12/22/03)
I have found that I can love with no love returned.

My dog paws at my knee, seeking attention.
That is enough, I think.
End Entry.

Journal Entry (3-12-04)
The world is full of pointless things.
End Entry.

News Paper Clippings (04)
Just 90 days…Finding peace through a big heart, young Americans starting to invest in their own retirement, more stuff is more money (a financial refresher for the New Year).

Are doomsday bugs upon us? Our lat ditch antibiotics are a vanishing defense.

U.S mad cow tied to Canada. Six coalition soldiers die.
Bush’s road map to peace aims to split; save American beef trade.

Jewish women pray at their section of the Wailing Wall; number of dead debated in Iran.

Weather Agency efforts reflect hope for end to violence. New air dazzles visitors.

Failed re-enactments emphasize the greatness of teenage girls overwhelmed by too many discoveries.
(The world is ******* nuts!)

Interesting, and very different. I like it though; the mass of disparate things put together here makes for a sort of unity, emphasizing the oddity of human existence.
