you walked away from me
left me alone to cry..
i sat alone in the cold..
as time slowly passed by
i was hoping you'd return..
and sweep me off my feet..
i was hoping you actually loved me..
would always be there for me..
the sun was fading away..
and my cheeks were bitter pink..
my makeup was smeared down my face..
and i finally decided to leave..
i looked up one more time..
to see if you were there..
then i put my head back down..
realizing you didn't care..
as i slowly walked home..
i couldn't help but cry..
i thought you'd love me forever..
forever until we die..
i grabbed my keys from my pocket..
and opened up the door..
i ran upstairs to my room..
cried..
alone on my floor
the whole time never realizing..
you were sitting out on the porch
i ran downstairs to see you..
still sitting there alone..
you wrapped your arms around me..
and promised never to let me go..
as my tears started to vanish..
i couldn't help but smile..
i thank God for answering my prayers..
for giving me hope..
for making life worth while..
