That Song

Contributed by bluestars on Saturday, 10th June 2006 @ 01:40:30 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

When night falls I lay quite to try and
remember the words to that song...
That song that you dedicated
That song that you sang,
the words so soothing
it made me dream of yesterday.
That song I hear on the radio and
it makes me believe your here.
That song we sang together
it blew away my fears,
as you brushed away my tears.
That song we danced
all through the star bright night.
With that song we made love endlessly
as we flew away and talked to the moon.
That song is my lullaby,
my comfort, my way of remembering you.
That song brings a smile to my face.
Even though you are now gone,
that song will always be... our song.

I thoroughly enjoyed your first post. One of several questions this poem puts in my mind is, what was that song that brought a smile to your face? Beautiful work.
