Darkened skies fall upon me
Clouding away the sun
I wander aimlessly through nothingness
And wonder where I am…
Lost adrift in a world full of confusion
Alone and tearful
Stretched to my limits…
Trying harder everyday…
Yet falling ever deeper into misery
Gripping the soft steel
To caress my soul…
The sharpened edge runs smoothly
Across the skin you once cherished…
Pressing into the flesh you once loved
And now you’ve left behind…
The hated words i fear that you will tell me
Of the happiness he brings…
Of how he sets your world ablaze
Makes it easier for me…
Cutting grooves into my veins
To take away this pain…
The sadness that overwhelms me
And drives me to my knees…
The hate I have for him
And the fact that your not here with me...
Kills me…
And yet this is the answer…
It was all along…
I was just afraid…
But now sitting here
Drunk...
Miserable...
Crying...
I see its how it has to be…
And though you may cry
It will pass in a few days…
And then you will be happy
And that’s what really matters…
Cutting through this weakened flesh
Releasing this pain in me
Finally a chance to escape…
I just can’t take it anymore…
