Hearts Aflame

The flame within my heart it burns,
sending forth its light.
My love for thee in depths unfurled,
to reach beyond the night.
Each waking day this lucent love,
direct its beams to you.
There upon horizons bound,
each day our love is new.
Our ties are firm, this love secure,
the anchor grips the rock.
Storms of life may blow our way,
we’re harbored at the dock.
Our love is safe two flames are joined,
and we become as one.
Brightly burning as the moon,
reflecting from the sun.
As the day slowly fades,
and life on earth is done.
Two hearts like embers glowing bright,
eternal love is won.

Brilliant and well crafted (as usual) and the flow of this creates such wonderful rhythmical movement while the visual images light up the imagination. You are a very talented poet and I love reading your work! Well done!
