Nothing Old Can Stay

Your mother’s very old,
Your father smells like mould.
They dropped in for an hour;
Now their visit has turned sour.
The hour became a week,
And I’m about to freak
Your parents cannot stay;
They’re slow and in the way.
Fish and guests don’t keep,
They‘re cranky and so cheap,
I can‘t stand another day,
Nothing old can stay.

"Nothing old can stay"...... LMBO - that's priceless!!!!
I just re-read Frost's piece not to long ago... this, therefore was not at all what I expected. But oh! what a delightful surprise!

Wow! Wish I'd had this poem back in 1995 when my wife's mother came and stayed for too long. I spent my time diggin' a four by eight and eight foot deep hole in rock just to stay away from the house! Neat write!
