BEAUTY

Contributed by lillyjane on Tuesday, 6th June 2006 @ 06:32:41 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Her beauty overwhelms me, it takes my breath away,
I gaze at her in wonderment, every single day,
sometime she shows her anger, volcanoes overflow,,
she fills the world with wonder, she makes the flowers grow,

Sometimes she brings an earthquake, many people die,
many people curse her, many people cry,
although she brings this misery, its not always her plan,
often it is caused. by the foolishness of man,

She brings the summer sunshine, she makes the sky so blue,
she brings new life into the world replaces old with new,
everybody loves her, no one could really hate her,
she bathes the world in beauty, her name is Mother Nature..

Early this evening I sat and watched some swallows flying about in the sky. Your poem summed up the hour that they filled the sky before they settled for the night, they were really beautiful and so is your poem. Thanks Lillyjane.

I liked this poem. It reminds us of the beauty all around us. "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere." Vincent Van Gogh.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
