Quick to the Mend

Contributed by Man_On_High on Monday, 5th June 2006 @ 10:15:30 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Consider this ubiquitous man,

asking nothing, but for stalk or leaf,
quite untroubled by metaphysical belief-
inhabiting places of rock and river,
though lately, through life with sinuous quiver..
'minute lord' of this plantitve earth,
devouring when he can, all it's individual worth.

By inexplicable wrath, unjustly subjected
by many a vast folly, undenying, unaffected-
and yet another instance of his perpetual sagacity:

his admirable strength and undying tenacity-
however long he may have cradled and carried
a will for a life not dawdled and harried
by what time's foolhardy, unforgiving estate
has brought down upon him; it won't disipate.
In joyous and excellent need of a hug,
meandering through time without need of a drug
with steady resolve, moving unto the end
his undying soul, always quick to the mend.

Love you bro..

Billy June 2006

Definately a peice of writting worth reading and digesting into the heart. It has an never ending feeling, a relentless iorny of choice
dictated by a need for life in it's purest and most uncompremising form. respecfuly
discordinant, yet beautifuly accomendating.
as always brilliant in it's presentation.

wow bro...i wasnt expecting this! it brought a tear to my humble eye (quite literally)...i'm honored and amazed at this...it is of course beautifully done, as is any group of words created by you!

the scope of this really hit me hard when i read sues comment. of course, i've known for a long time how lucky i am to have you, not only as a brother, but also, and i may argue more importantly, as a best friend. i cant tell you how much this means to me...and i feel that a write just as potent (if not more so) could be written about you,

always and with much love,

paul
(watch out for a big hug next time we meet)

I am in a constant state of awe at having been witness to the incredible bond you and
Paul share. It is, as always, completely and utterly moving.

I had to read this several times and have come back to it again and again, (sighing at
my own loss for words each time), never quite knowing how to impress upon you my
delight, admiration and unwavering respect your brilliance here has invoked in me.

A vast depth engulfs this write and gives credence to a most profound reflection & your
discriminating word choice offers a philosophical feel to this write. I've always felt
that the truest and most genuine poetry comes from the heart. And throughout this
incredible work, your heart is felt. It's beat is the metre to which your words are writ.
A most beautiful piece, Billy. Truly.

as ever~
~Breezy

I've always thought that the very best way to love someone is to know them... to know them so well that you can still see them when they aren't quite themselves in the midst of a difficult time... and to find a way to tell them, as often as possible, that you can see, always, what is most wonderful about them. Clearly, the bond between you and Paul is so strong that such a love exists between you. I'd hasten to guess then... that if either of you find yourself in times when your resolve is temporarily shaken or the mending seems to come less quickly than you'd prefer... that you'll ever and always make it through ---- because you have someone that believes and trusts and cares for you. It is (this is), Billy... the greatest gift you can give someone, I believe.

And for the record - the write touched me deeply.... and Paul's response did as well. *sigh* Yeh.

I don't know that I've ever said so straightforwardly... but I'm awful glad the two of you are here. You set a fine example for the rest of us. And hey... your poetry ain't half bad either. *wink*

Snems..
I thought I should thank you.. here - for all to see.. and to make note of how sensitive you are to such things...

Your comments and support have always been (at least to me) ..nothing less than that.

I can't thank you enough.. and I'm sure I echo the sentiments of my brother, Paul..(AKA..wizard).

Thanks Snemmy..

Yours...ALWAYS~

Billy
