Hope

Topic: InspirationalPoems

A cry is heard there in the night from one that’s left behind.
The thoughts of love will ever stay within the heart and mind.
Thinking of the days gone by when love had filled the day.
But winter winds have come and gone and summer could not stay.
The tears will fall, the heart will mourn, that one will not return.
It seems as if all joy is lost, a heart in pain will yearn.
But there is one that knows our pain, and shares our grief and tears.
Only He could calm the sea, and chase away our fears.
The one that sees the sparrow fall, and brightens up our day.
Will comfort us in time of need, and answer when we pray.
He gave his life that we might live; our minds can’t grasp his love.
He’ll mend the broken heart in time, an answer from above.
In time of need he gives us rest, and comfort when we weep.
He guides us to green pastures sweet, a shepherd for his sheep.
My Lord and Savior really cares, and you are not alone.
When you cry there in the night, your every tear is known.
One bright day he’ll come again and take us all above.
A glad reunion there will be, you’ll see that one you love.

This is a perfectly penned testimony of the truths I hold in my heart and soul. Thank you for this excellent poem!
