My friend

Contributed by KarlaMarie on Saturday, 3rd June 2006 @ 09:06:52 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I wrote this thinking about, in all honesty, Severus Snape and Lucius Malfoy, and their friendship and how it is portrayed in alot of fanfiction.

Imprisoned in our own lives
Can never start again
Wipe the slate clean
Just you and me my friend

Forever bound by mistakes
Our past selves made
Looked upon unwisely
Our soul forever jade

Taken by our greed
We watched for that ungodly hour
And set the devil free
In our bid for power

Tortured and broken
Results of our blood lust
The multitudes of dead
We did what we thought we must

Now when I look back I ask
Was the soul I sold
Worth the power and fame
Was it worth the worlds gold

I ask for no excuses
For I know what I did was wrong
But would I do it all again
Now that all is said and done

Perhaps I still would
One can never tell
Yet no matter what I do now
I know my friend you will be there as well

KarlaMarie
