Under a calm sea

Contributed by In_a_While on Friday, 2nd June 2006 @ 03:42:08 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

my candle i love you
my candy i care
i want you like mirrors
scraping my eyes....

all of her mood swings
have decided to break skin
i'm shivering a dust cloud
while making not one sound

my candle you burn me
Candace, i care
but sometimes you hate me
for no reasons to share

i know we've been swallowed
by the oceans and teeth
each other to follow
through lives of deceit
our pills are now brains
that we snort to reclaim
cocaine can be brave
if it needs to be saved
i paint til i sleep
and recover no eyes
my art's from the deep
and my words become lies
end me....
and life will be swell.

Abstract write indeed, but it is very well written at the same time. Good work, keep it coming.

Mood swings deciding to break skin - that is rich language! I chose this poem to comment on because the title appeals to me at this particular time (in which I am a calm sea as well.) There are many phrases in this poem with unusual language to be admired. Very well done! EG
