My Biggest Mistake

Contributed by shaydie_lady on Friday, 2nd June 2006 @ 12:44:04 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

I’ve made a few mistakes in life,
I’ve lied, cheated and stole.
But the biggest mistake in my life,
Is something I don’t regret at all.

If missing someone is a crime,
Then I’m a wanted criminal
For here I miss four people,
And I miss them with my all.

DJ brought us laughter
During our stressed out days.
His antics brought smiles
And giggles at his ways.

Olivia was wonderful,
strong, smart, secure.
She kept us all focused
When we were around her.

Kelli was so much quieter
Then the other two I’ve named,
Her quietness made me worried,
Kept me on my game.

Abbi was the lucky one,
Youngest of us all,
Became the best of the best,
I guess she was famous after all…

Now that weekends over,
and I haven’t gotten over it yet,
Even though my heart is practically broken,
That weekend I don’t regret.

I’ve made a few mistakes in life,
I’ve lied, cheated and stole.
But the biggest mistake I’ve made in life,
I don’t regret at all.

If missing someone is a crime,
Then I’m a wanted criminal
For I miss four people,
And I miss them with my all.

Lovely sentiments and so beautifully expressed.
Good friends can be hard to come by.....I hope you have many more that you can cherish for a long time
