Is loving you wrong?
I don’t know anymore,
As I feel another piece of me,
Fall through a crack in the floor,
The devil’s waiting,
At my front door,
To take me away,
Somewhere I’ve not been before.
A trip to remember,
He says with a grin,
As I slide the door open,
And he waits to come in,
The rain starts a-falling,
I’m drenched in my sin,
Like acid, it melts,
Right through to the skin.
To hell in a handcart,
All expenses spared,
Our love fell apart,
The second I cared,
You would have loved me,
If only you’d dared,
If you’d opened your mouth,
Rather than idly stared.
Lighting strikes,
As thunder roars,
And rain pelts down,
On unwanted shores,
All that I wanted,
Was for love to endure,
To ease this disease,
To give me a cure.
Yet still I end up here,
Without a love to find,
Like the girls on the corner,
I can’t leave the past behind,
As they sell their bodies,
I simply sell my mind,
They degrade themselves,
As my fate unwinds.

This is sad, Loved your descriptive words :
All that I wanted,
Was for love to endure,
To ease this disease,
To give me a cure.
Can understand the angst written there. It was my pleasure to read this. Thank you. Sue x
