Your poison tongue dances with mine,
Leaves me writhing in a passion divine,
The sheets are soon tangled like the web that we weave,
Passion and anger the needs we deceive.
Loneliness kills even the purest of heart,
It corrodes the soul, tears the insides apart,
It eats you up, leaves you a quivering mess,
It leaves you believing that you have nothing left.
Pain and solitude conflict then explode,
They push you away when you step too close.
Fear of pain, fear of regret,
Leave me with memories I’d sooner forget.
How could you want me?
I’m dead inside.
I’m a mass of bitterness that I’m unable to hide.
A tangled web of lies and deceit,
You need someone pure, someone wholesome, someone sweet.
