Slept cozily warm in thy bed, dreamt merrily a propos -
to lead a happy life along with your beloved. Braving
aloof in the agonizing frontier, brothers you know-not stood
guard in trim green. Far a field from sweet home; bothered
not for the blazing sun nor the shuddering mountain cold,
clutched close to his heart is only a crumbled teeny snapshot
of his own blushing beloved’s longing stare. Daring fearsome
foe’s fanatic shattering shells, sprinkling dear precious blood,
for those brothers he know not, heard, nor seen but for the mighty
fine twine of patriotism, tie’s the knot of kin between the
unknown unseen souls. Country brother that you are,
shall stand shoulder to shoulder with the men in green,
who, stand’s awake to guard, letting thy dream to flourish, rest assured
in peace while the country next-door conspired to prevail.
Bow not to fear, life though very dear, tower over the foes as a ferocious spear;
with swollen pride I raise three cheers for the brothers unknown yet so dear.

Franco, this is a great tribute to those who have selflessly given their all for us, though we never even knew them, and to those who stand for us today and in the future. Excellent write.

What caught my eye, was the title..
I found it almost impossibly relevant.. (literally speaking, with regards to my own brother)
..though after reading through,
my initial expectations were selfish and self-serving.
..great tribute to the brave men and women
who are fighting for, at the very least,
that which we, in the free world, have all-to-often taken for granted:
"the expression of self".
..with the greatest humility,
Billy
