Topic: Tributes

With the setting of the sun.
The settling of the fog.
The air grows cold and still.
For no movements in this time.
A time of irrelevance.
A time of pain.
With all the lonely souls,
Walking today.
To shed a tear would be ok.
Stones of marble.
White, pink, and grey.
Engraved with the names.
Of women and men, who have gone away.
For its not easy to say.
When our time is due.
But he knows without a clue.
For the flowers grow.
Red in color.
In the fields of a far off land.
The crosses stand.
White in color.
In the hot Virginia sun.
The water shimmers peacefully.
Blue in color.
Surrounded by 56 granite columns.
This is how we remember.

This is how we will never forget…

This is dedicated to all the men and women in the United States Armed Forces that have lost their lives to protect ours. Thank You.

Hey..This was a good poem. I liked how you tried to use the rhyming in this.. I liked this and it isn't bad.. You got to give yourself more credit for things that you haven't tried before.. Well I love you.. This was good..

bye babe
