Its a mad world we live in,
Fit only for idiots and fools,
Where those with any common sense
Are bogged down by silly rules,
A place heading for disaster,
No land of milk and honey,
Where the only thing of importance,
Is the colour of your money,
World leaders make decisions,
With no sensible attempt,
Leaving the way open,
For aggression and contempt,
What happened to the days gone by,
When we all had a sense of pride
When morale was so evident,
And we all stood side by side,
The emphasis then was always ,
To help those in need,
But now its all so different,
Its a world so full of greed,
The poorer countries are poorer,
The rich ones no longer care,
It leads the way to disaster,
For those held in that snare,
And what of the future,
If we continue this selfish trend,
Will the world become a better place,
Or will the human race just end?

Again, I say, very nice flow. Very nice rhythm and rhyme. :-)
You have stated your thoughts very well in this one.
I too sometimes have these thoughts about the atrocities of the world but would also like to think there is still hope. There are still people who care and apparently you are one of them. There are also quite a few good and caring people right here at YPDC.
Take care and keep up the good work.
Tim
