Lost hope in a world of darkness
I once believed there was a glint of light
But it seems as I traveled closer to it
It seemed to slowly fade
Now alone in this darkness i shake
Shrouded in emptiness my fears are realized
They make themselves present in extravagant ways
With this in mind, I close my eyes for sleep
Praying I'm not alone in this void

Ahhh the terror of the nightmares....where no one can help you and all you feel is chilling onslaught of darkness.
