Misguided Immortality

There's a certain placidity while I stand in the rain during the tranquility of the night,
Knowing I'm alone and the person I care for most will be alright,
The memories of what I once had quickly withered away,
The longing for her love lead to my very own dismay,
As I stand here now, the rain cleanses the emptiness inside,
A reminiscence of the dreams that I could not bear to hide..
There's nothing left to give, but my remaining morality..
The streetlights shine on my face, misguided immortality

I really liked your choice of words to convey feeling. |
