The Lady That I Adore

Contributed by baronhawk on Saturday, 27th May 2006 @ 11:23:27 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

You stride along
a graceful peacock
and can't but help
but hold that gleam.

A splendid answer
to lonely requiems
one that wakens
long dormant dreams.

Upon what road
shall I find the way
once at least
for me to say.

My sudden sojourn
and heartfelt foray
into love's
deep deep quay.

Alas I must
remain disguised
for your heart and hands
lies only with he.

I can only watch
upon the sidelines
as you dance and dance
in your lover's hands.

I will be happy
that you are
but my sadness
will reign.

For the lady
that I adore
belongs instead
to another man.

Oh dear BaronHawk, what a lovely few words to open your heart to us! A yearning that will never end.........to adore another in another man's arms! "Tis sad beyond compare!
But never lose hope dear BaronHawk, you fly high, and one day soon you yourself will be that other man. A Love truly of your own, to hold and to love for all eternity!
I'm so glad to be able to read your lovely poetry!!!
Warm love
consue

Isn't it amazing that no matter how hard we try to be a stone, eventually something comes along that makes us crack...unfortunately it's not always something good..sigh.
I feel the pain here, and know better than to try and give you advice.
