What Happens

Topic: LostLove

What happens when this fairy tale ends,
And I finally come to my senses and realize that all those sweet words were not meant for me.
When I’ve given you everything and in the end,
All you can do is throw it in my face.
When I’ll cut myself not to remind myself how much I love you
But for how much I hate myself.
When I’ll fall into the arms of a friend who told me I had done wrong the whole time.
When I’ll be pressured into heavy drinking and drugs to forget.
When still all I think about is you,
And all you can think about are others.
What happens when you still want to be friends
And I can’t bare knowing your not mine.
When you’ve moved on
And I’m still hung up on you.
When I tell you I’m fine
When you should know I’m not.
When I cry at night
When you cry at night
When I try to erase our memories yet long only to be in the moment once again.
When I’ll really question my feelings.
When I wonder if it could have worked.
When I wonder what I meant to you.
When I can’t sleep at night.
When I’ll look into your eyes
Only to pull away.
Remembering how I used to get lost in your eyes.
And what happens,
When I realize that
I
Want
To
Be
Lost
Again.

Great poem I can relate. Wish my guy felt that way about me.

The end of a relationship...
does not necessarily end...
the love that existed in between...
That even if the relationship dies...
the love keeps it alive...

I was moved by your poem. Great piece.

This is a near perfect description of what I’m going though at the moment, although the love I have for this girl is tear4ing me apart I still don’t have an answer to Shakespeare’s most famous question of all. Is it better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all?
