Ruby bricks and shingles of gold,
Diamond windows and shutters of emerald,
Perfect geometry and tall fences of silver,
A flawless construction that never grew old.
Garnet grass and earth upturned,
Mucky waters and fetid odors,
Twisted trees and filth a strewn,
A decrepit sight to make the eyes burn.
An image blemished; a lot to live on.
