Gentle winds
Summer’s breeze
Through his mind
Sent memories
Of a time when love
Showered his life
When an angel
He was making his wife
She floated down the aisle
In her gown of white
Oh what a most
Miraculous sight
His heart filled with joy
As she said “I Do”
Then she leaned in gently
And said “I will always love you”
But time has it own
Way of changing things
And she was taken
To Heaven the next spring
So here he sits
Remembering
The summer’s love
Rather than horrific spring
Thankful he knew
Love so fine
Her essence embraces
With every breeze divine

Oh, Shari, how unbelievably sad and tragic.
'Tis a beautiful piece none-the-less hun. But what an
utterly horrible fate for both. Unspeakable. You
captured the devotion and love that transcends time
in this though. The flow is perfect.
Wonderful post!
