Music Of The Heart

Contributed by Gentlemanpoet on Thursday, 25th May 2006 @ 01:46:11 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

You play your music within my heart,
the placid sounds of love.
It whispers soft across my mind,
gentle as a dove.
Your gentle eyes express to me,
the feeling that you hold.
In the light they seem to dance,
your music to unfold.
A symphony of love you play,
upon the breeze to me.
It plays so sweetly in my ear,
a lover’s melody.
When you are gone the music stops,
no gentle strings I hear.
My lonely heart cries out for you,
I need you ever near.
Like gentle harp or violin,
you play your loving strings.
You make my world a better place,
my heart for you it sings.
So play your loving music dear,
and send it all to me.
I’ll pour my love in song to you,
in loving harmony.

I like the way this flows and your lines are quite pleasant. Is there a reason for the repitition of the word gentle? (other than your name), perhaps some other choices, but other than that I think this is a beautiful piece!

The rise and fall of the words was great..filled with tenderness and romance. I love it.
