Don’t you love the happy fluff
You get from a love poem
Oh roses are red
And violets are blue.
Oh I get lost in your eyes
Let me compare your love
To something asinine
Let me be sardonic
Let me be hateful
Red is for the blood
That pumps from my heart
The heart that beats for you
Blue is not violet
Blue is violent
Blue is for bruises
You healed my bruises
When everyone else
Was just intent
On causing more pain
I do love you
With everything I have
I don’t need to hide
Behind the artist metaphors

Almost has a form of bluntness to you and alot of artistry is metaphor. I do enjoy blunt though. :) Overall I like the poem and the flow to it. Nice. |

sometimes fluff is nice and it's all we can come up with LOL.
I attended a poetry convention and the winning poem was about a sugary, caramel dessert... that really was fluff and there were thousands of great, deep poems read. Why did that one win? I guess the judges needed sugar and sometimes we need fluff. great read .. blunt and to the point..
no sugar here. |
