It takes me over and over again
the monster within feeds on my every move
the feeling creeps up my spine
then I feel blank
I love the way it speaks to me,
letting the aggression out because it tells me to
I try to drink my problems away
but it pulls me even closer to where I was before
It's like an addiction you can't fight...it's known as the destroyer
blowing up my emotions like a landmine in WW1
I died trying to fight it but it kept my soul
and until time ended I was never whole

| I don't know if you take suggestions kindly..but I have some so if you're interested let me know..it's a good poem but I think a few small changes could make it better..mostly spacing..sometimes that works to give a poem more power. |
