They say that first love never really dies,
Is it true?
Tell me it's true.
Tell me I'll always have that place in your heart.
Tell me I'll always have that bit of charm.
Tell me I'll always be the one you turn to in the end.
Promise me I'll never be second best.
You've moved on,
But you've left your tracks.
And those tracks will always remain.
I know they're there.
You know they're there.
It's just the act of admitting it.
The flame has gone dim,
It's gone out to the naked eye.
But looking through your soul,
You'll see there's still a blue glow
Dancing to the beat of the heart.
They say that first love never really dies.
You can talk all you want,
You can play it how you want,
Just as long as you know the truth.
They say that first love never really dies.
So tell me,
Am I still number one?
