THE BUSH AGENDA

Contributed by Steeleyes on Wednesday, 24th May 2006 @ 03:36:10 AM in AEST
Topic: political

When showbiz is warlike
And war just a show
Do we still have a world
That we all want to know?

When men in power tell lies
And media agrees
What’s in the future
But a world on its knees?

When power is all
And truth is a game
Can we respect leaders
That exhibit no shame?

With 'Only one way'
All else is unpatriotic
Havn’t they made democracy
Into something psychotic?

When freedom is controlled
By witch hunts and spies
Is it right THEY tell US
What’s truth and what’s lies?

When we all feel fear
And want protection
Do they then manipulate
Without detection?

When the powerful elites
See their chance to control
Is this how it feels
To lose your own soul?

When dictators get power
We see it over and over
They manipulate the facts
To provide them with cover

When they start to preach
Saying what’s good for them
Is good also for the state
It's the start of fear and of hate

Stay free and choose well
Let it not get so grave
For in place of protection
They'll make you their slave

O//
