Pessimist’s eyes

selfstruggles
|
Slip in-between my sheets
Then later question morality.
A screwdriver to
get me going in the bitter morn,
The looks they give me
as if I’m a walking corpse.
Something on my mind,
an interrupted sleep pattern,
craving for the good times
have come long at least.
Listening to you whine,
I have not given up on hope.
Take the grudges away
as I’m starving you from life,
a better day,
and perchance a better week.
Or life?
I am not looking
through a pessimist’s eyes today.
