Restless nights spent tossing and turning...
Sweat pouring down my body...
Drenching the sheets, entangling my body...
Why do dreams haunt you so?
The tales of ongoing peril...
Lifeless towns, cities in ruins...
Few screams can be heard piercing the darkness...
Haunted...
Decaying bodies litter the streets...
The stench is horendous...
Bacteria is lurking in the murky water...
Why do dreams haunt you so?
Blood soaked cars, shattered windows...
Debri and trash are scattered everywhere...
Money is fluttering in the air, from an overturned armoured truck...
Haunted...
Then the silence...
You could cut it with a knife...
Almost so quiet that you could hear a pin drop...
Why do dreams haunt me so?
You scream out, "Hello, is anyone their?"...
Less than five seconds pass, then you hear the groaning...
Hobbling toward you is an undead...
Haunted...
As it loomed ever closer to you, you see its face...
Rotting and decaying flesh, falling off in clumps...
And its eyes, red as the blood on its hands...
Why do dreams haunt you so?
You want to run...
But your feet are glued to the ground...
You can't budge...
Haunted...
You want to scream...
But no sound is heard...
Grabbing your throat, you try again...
Why do dreams haunt you so?
The zombie lunges at you, arms outstretched...
Just as its teeth sink into your neck...
You wake up, drenched in sweat...
Haunted...
If it was only a dream...
They why did it seem so real...
Why do dreams haunt you so, you say...
Maybe you really are, haunted...
